Gas Costs

The problem is that you have environmentalists that won't let us drill for our own oil, so we have to buy it from overseas, which costs more...if we could use our own oil, which I just heard we have a ton of, it would help. The president has nothing to do with prices, and believe it or not, most of us own stock in oil companies through our 401K's, so it's not them either. We need to become less dependet on foreign oil...

they could open the national oil reserves and it would lower the price like they did in the 70's. but then we would be vulnerable should we get cut off from oil. it was designed to be used only when we could no longer receive oil and needed it for things like military transport.

like the first person said - we have all the resources here in america to drill our own oil...the environmentalists won't let this happen - thay are actually supporting to let other countries use the gulf of mexico but not us...

so you can blame the environmentalists and the people who were voted for who won't change it.

In Wisconsin its $3.30 for a gallon of gas thats insane it costs me over $40 to fill up my gas tank about 5 years ago it cost me $22 thats a huge difference i don't get why they can charge so much when gas companys such as exxon are having record profit years it just doesn't make any sense at all!
