Right now I pnly am working when my son is in school every other dat. At work today I was asked I would be able to start working every day since one girl quit over the weekend. Now I have to decide if I want to do it or not. I would be getting a small raise and about 3 times the hours.
Now to my question. I would need to have day care for my son on 2 or 3 days a week, one half day and 1-2 full days (9-3). ow much will I be looking at paying for childcare for around 16 hours a week/ Also which would you recommend, a day carecenter or at someones home? Is there a difference in cost? I really have no idea about day care as I have never needed it before now, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I looked around in the area and found the cheapest on would be around $30 a day. My work was able to work with me so that I only work when my son is in school or when his dad is home from work to watch him. So far it has been working out pretty good.

I have a five month old son and i was going to go back to work recently, however with how much I would earn and the cost of child care it turned out we would be better off financially if I stayed at home. I prefer it anyway, I want to stay with bubs as long as I possibly can :D The cost for me was around 60 dollars AU a day. I'm not sure where you live in the world, but I think regardless of that fact, it would probably be cheaper at someones home then at an actual centre, or if you have family and friends that could mind your child, better still... Good luck :D

Thanks for the reply. Right now I am trying to figue out if it would be a benefit to work the extra time or no. Next year he will be at school full time and this jobs hours would be perfect, the only thing holding me back would be having to put my son in daycare. Unfortunatley my closest family member is an hour away and all of my friend work during the day.
