I'm a person who will eat anything, especially when I'm hungry. But this perception of myself changed when I ate something so similar to mucus!!!!
Oysters...
Hey, don;t get my wrong. I love seafood, but this oyster recipe my dad and his friend had, wasn't really the kind of food an 8 year old would it. It was raw! not even with a touch of heat... the only thing that "cooked" it was the acid of the vinegar and the garlic.
Its a delicacy for those who eat it while drinking alcohol, but out of curiosity I tried it out and I couldn't bear the smell, the taste and the texture....
but now that i'm older, I can eat half cooked oysters... but never again would I want to experience eating it raw.... hmmm... unless someone could take out that smell...
what about you?

i have only eated frogs and snake soup as a kid, where i have no choice but to try them because of my mom!
i guess that's all i had.. i dont mind livers... i like liver spread. i dont like to eat blood though.. you see there are filipinos who eat pig blood (barbequed) and yes.. that is disgusting for me!
i will not try any other exotic food too. never...

pig blood is ok barbecued rather than steamed... I ate that kind of dish in hongkong...
at least the barbecued ones were marinated in soysauce or something...
but this blood dish of hongkong smelled like blood all the way,,,

I don't remember what the name of it was but I remember that I was trying to eat it(I believe it was the schools pizza)and I really tried to eat it but it tasted like it was ruined and I couldn't bring myself to eat the rest of it and then I tried to drink the milk that they tried to give us and I couldn't do that either... I mean everyone was talking about how horrible our school's food was so we all just started to bring our own lunches....and I think that they got the hint because I believe they hired new lunch room cooks...
