Tape the tops of the empty bottles and put them together with the holes facing each other. Put water in one and some kind of small rocks or anything like that and put some food color in the water. Than tape the two together. The holes together. Wrap tape around that part of the bottle and you have a instant tornado. I didn't know if you have kids but if you do they have hours of fun with this.
Also you can cut the sides out and leave the top on and decorate and make a bird feeder also. Those turn out real cute and you get to watch birds which to me is a plus since I like to watch birds.

Cut the bottom off of them and you have a funnel. I also will cut the bottom off of them and put the top on with glue, turn them upside down and hatch brine shrimp in them, I use an air line in them to keep the eggs in motion. cut the bottom and the top (just before it begins to get smaller) and you can put it around a small tree or sapling to keep the rodents from chewing on the bark and also to help keep other things from hitting the bar (such as garden hoses.

In a case like that you could cut the "tube so that it is square and then nail the hard plastic around the corner so that the hose will catch the hose instead of the siding, if you get the clear bottles they should not look too bad, better than if the siding is taken off,
