Cemetery Weddings: Creepy or Romantic?  

I can see where your coming from, so long as there is a nice surrounding for the wedding i think it would be quite spiritual actually, I am one that believes in spitit guides and how we are watched over by these guides so i think it would be quite ok..

While I can see how the idea might appeal to some people, it would not be right for me. As beautiful and historic as the place may be, I do not want to be thinking about death on my wedding day.

I have heard before about couples wanting to get married in cemetery's, and I guess you could say its starting to become a trend.In my opinion a wedding in a cemetery is both romantic and creepy at the same time,because in one perspective its creepy because the thought of getting married where people are buried,seems kinda wrong and kinda disrespectful,but at the same time it seems romantic because of the quiet, serene atmosphere,and especially if you keep it as few people as possible.At the same time if you hold it at night time, I will be creepy because cemetary's are always creepy at night, but if u were to get married at sunset or sunrise than it would be romantic.It all depends on who you are, and what you believe, however, some people might believe that its wrong to step on sacred grown like that,and that it dishonors the souls of the dead, while others might think its okay, to get married on sacred grown.I dont think its necessarily bad because a cemetary is sacred grown, in my opinion, just like a church, so for the people who want to get married in a cemetary, the should go for it,I dont think I could ever get married in one though,or want too.

cemetaries are beautiful and peaceful places
many have duck ponds and rose gardens and gazebos now
and on a lighter note, nothing says "till death do us part" like a cemetary LOL

My uncle had his wedding and reception in a cementery. The chapel is small but the ceremony started at 4 or 5 pm, when we got out of the chapel, it's already dark outsid. The tables and chairs are set near tombs and with the decorations it kinda look like a park more than a cementery. We even had our pictures taken near the tombs though it's kinda creepy because it very dark. The tables are lighted with candle lights and the full moon.
