Virtual pets on the net and you or your children

Do you or your children have any virtual pets? If so what are they? How often do you or they visit them on the net and what to you or they do with them? I must admit that I actually have a pet frog in Racing frogs frog pond and that frog has brown hair, wears a cute outfit and a nice smile and is a great racer named Rhonda... It is rather funny to visit her on the net, to feed her a dragonfly or two, to exercise her, and to feed her a meal and buy things for her... It is so juvenile but fun just the same... My guess is that a lot of you either have or know a family member who has a virtual pet on the net. If so what is it?

I don't have any net pets, but my three sons do. For Easter, they each got their own "Webkinz" and they adore them! Almost daily (as long as their chores are all done), they are allowed to go online for at least 20 minutes, and do what needs to be done to take care of their webkinz pet. They're having a great time playing the games, earning money, and then shopping for things for their pet. I think it's a fantastic learning tool, because not only is it teaching them about basic needs for living things, but how to save for things you really want to buy, and of course more basic computer skills. I've tried to help the boys out as well, and have gone on their webkinz pages and played some games to help earn them more money. I should do that again one night this week actually. It helps pass the time, and because I'm an adult playing "kids" games, it makes me feel really smart too. ROFLMAO!

Sorry that I did not respond to your post earlier... I am glad that your three sons are enjoying their webkinz. Glad that you are enjoying them too.
