Never heard of it. Sounds interesting. Like when you use a can of coke to bake a cake. So many recipes,so little time. I wonder what the benefits are of using the soup instead of just following a normal recipe.

I have heard of it actually. I have never tasted it though. From what I have heard it is very moist and tastes really good.

I have heard of it but even the name of it disguist me..lol I just can't imagine cake that taste like tomato soup which I am sure it doesn't, but just knowing it is in the cake may make one think they can taste it. I have heard it is very good and that people would never guess what one of the main ingredients of this cake is. Here is a recipe I found for you, and there was a picture of it, and it did look pretty yummy..lol
1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed tomato soup
1 Tsp. baking soda
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 1/2 cups of self rising flour
1 cup raisins
Directions
1. Combine soup and soda in a bowl and let stand.
2. Cream sugar, egg, butter, salt, cinn. and cloves. Mix into tom. soup and soda mixture, and then add flour. Stir in the raisins and then pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
3. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 1 hour, or until done.
4. Let cake cool and then top with cream cheese icing or just coat with powdered sugar.
I hope this turns out good, I may think about making this someday without letting my family know what is in it and then have them try it...I bet they would all love it and would freak when I tell them that it has tomato soup in it..lol
