I still have them and they just sit there in a cupboard. I replaced most of them with CDs... but not all. I don't think I could get myself to get ride of them... not unless someone offered me money for them. If you have some original LPs from famous bands... the cover might be just as valuable as the LP. All that stuff is collector item now... and can only go up in price as it gets older.

yes my good ones like all my elton john ones and others like him are in my cupboard as well.i know they are collectable and kept these ones.the ones that i gave my daughter were not as valuable as the ones i have stashed.i once put some out in a garage sale and this guy came up to me and told me to keep them as some of them were valuable.i would like to find out how much some of these records were worth.cheers sue

A good place to find out would be Ebay. Do a search to find out if anyone is selling old records... and you will see how much they sell them for. The only way to make money of that stuff is to sell it to collectors... but collectors want stuff in good condition. Not only the LP... but the cover as well.

I still have all my old records and even my Dads' ones.....Benny Goodman etc. etc. What a great idea that your daughter has made use of them. I have one of Dragon my very favourite band and will be seeing them perform in a few weeks and am tempted to take it along to have it signed. Daughter is coming along too maybe I could get her to do it for me.......this old girl has become shyer in her old age!

Yes Marc did pass away and I was lucky enough to see him when he did a concert out on his own with backup only months before he did die. The new singer is good and Marcs' brother Todd is still in the band.

i don't believe you are getting shyer with age, just wait till you get to the concert with your record to be signed you will be beating the younger ones with a stick to get to them.i am like an old groupie when i go to a concert with my daughter, she actually gets embarrased.i have a few dragon records as well. was it marc hunter the lead singer, didn't he die a few years back.cheers sue

thats a shame you did not keep your old records, the feature wall looks great and it would be ideal for a bar room or a rumpus room.she is such a clever thing,i wonder what she comes up with next.cheers sue

Wow that sounds awesome! I have a whole bunch of old LPs that I have scored over the years from relatives but I'm a music nerd so I don't know if I could hang them up or do anything artistic with them! Can you get a photo of it for us and post it here? I'd love to see it!

wow that really was a good idea, something i would love to do actually. Unfortunately for me I have not saved my old LP's or even cassettes. It's a shame to when I think of all the money I've spent on music, would have been nice to get some original use out of it all :P most people I know if they still have them keep them in storage or even under a bed or couch.
