Are flat panel tv's worth it?  

i havent saved enough to buy one yet and the TVs in my house seem to be doing fine so i will not replace them yet...

they do look really nice at the Best Buy and Costco...but i'm a little overwhelmed with all the options available at this time...i do not know if they are worth the price at this moment...they should be going down in price as they become more common...i will wait till then to get one...
