I am listening to BBC Radio London and they have the man on who won £100,000 on the Lottery and blew it in a year. He is not making himself popular.

They are now asking for housing benefit as they have spent all their money.
Even better - they went to the press to complain about the Council - idiots
Vanessa Feltz - has just come off the fence telling him how stupid he was... Lovely stuff.

These people are obviously going to attract some attention - who knows, they may even sell their story for money.
£100,000 is a lot of money ($200,000 US) and if they had been out of work, down on their luck, etc. you would expect them to maybe appreciate their fortune more.
Trouble is people who never had money don't know anything about it, don't know how to manage it or be careful with it. That's why the rich stay rich - they know how to look after it and are trained at their parents' knee to do so and by example.
