Who Weeps For Moses?

Although I don't agree with his politics, he was one of the greatest actors of our time, and maybe all time. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on controversial topics and I don't really care about all that too much myself. He did entertain millions of people with talent and grace and I hope he will be recognized for his outstanding acting achievements.

I really haven't seen many of his movies, but from what I have seen he had a great screen presence and was an entertaining actor. I usually don't factor in an entertainer's politics or views while viewing their work. That said, however, I believe that Heston's political work in the 60's is often overlooked. He marched for civil rights, supported gun control laws, etc. And the scene in "Bowling For Columbine" always left a bad taste in my mouth(and I loved the movie as a whole). I don't think there is anything heroic or noble in attacking a elderly man with Alzhimer's about his political views. And some of the camera angles, and editing seem to suggest, that perhaps some of it was staged.

Well I respect the man for his acting abilities and he was pretty good as Moses. I am an anti-gun advocate so I was disappointed at his views. I understand that we all have our freedom to have opinions. Often though when you get a celebrity endorsing beliefs it can create tidal waves.
