Do you play any instruments?

I don't play any instruments either, but I would like to get a drum kit and learn how to play the drums. It would be a excellent way for me to beat out some anger and stress, and work up a nice little sweat at the same time.

I play the guitar and bass guitar, and sing. If you really want to learn real bad, you can do it. You have to really want to do it, and be willing to practice, practice, practice. I taught myself how to play....good luck

No, I do not. I have tried to learn the guitar a couple of times but I have never succeeded. I still have the guitar though so one of these days I will give it another go. Although I am leaning more towards the flute.

I play guitar, hence my MyLot name. I also play drums and piano. I never learned any band instruments, I always thought band was sorta geeky so I joined the choir. Playing guitar takes patience, practice and a willing to learn, once you do the whole world opens up. Give it a try, the least you will lose is your time.

Trust me, there is no better time in the history of mankind to learn how to play the guitar than NOW. I have been playing for like 24 years and if I had the internet and cool sites like they have now with video lessons and tabs I would have been 1,000% better! You want to write your GF a song, there is not really a more convenient instrument than a decent acoustic guitar (MUCH more portable than a piano:-) ).
I wrote a song for my wife (we're married 13 years now) back in the '90s. I went to a local recording studio and spent 4 hours playing every instrument (and I was no drummer! took 2 separate tracks, one for basic beat and one for fills/rolls) for a 4 minute song. I first played it for her on an acoustic, then brought her along to the studio and she could see what goes in to making a recording. It was challenging but worth it! I leaned alot that day about sound-on-sound recording... Now I have a 10 track digital zoom recorder in the basement... too bad I'm not a recording engineer:-( I am learning that tho...slowly.
Do it... get a guitar and learn to play! The look in a girl's eyes when they watch you sing a song for them that you wrote is priceless. life is short, just do it!

i play keybords,guitar,bass,and drums .... but if ur trying to makie ur girl feel special i suggest keyboards or guitar cause it is the most soothing
