I just discovered by accident a website that is a great place for anyone in the artistic fields to advertise and be listed, sort of a directory of a who's who in the art line. You can be involved in any one of these following fields to list yourself at this website known as ArtChain.

If you don't have your own website to list, they actually DO have a website service for you to build your own professional looking site...uh, but a humdinger of a cost with a basic set up fee of $950 for first year hosting, and most websites are listed as costing for $1500 to $3,000..yikes! Now of course you don't have to go to such an expensive route as there are a lot of web-hosts where you can set up a website to show off your work from freebies (like Tripod) though most freebies sites have those pop-up ads but can be eliminated with an only $4.95 a month fee. You can even set up a fairly decent website with Blogger or BlogSpot, or Bravehost or Freewebs. My more professional looking photo site is with Smugmug which has a range of costs per year, from $39.95, $59.95 to over a hundred--mine is the middle range one
