What are the advantages of a digital camera?

The main advantage that I like is that you can see the pictures immediately and know whether it turned out ok or if you need to take more shots. There is nothing worse than taking photos of a major event and getting them developed and realizing that they didn't come out good, or didn't come out at all!

With a digital camera, you can download and share with friends/family immediately, and you can still print them out if you want to, for scrapbooking or whatever.

It's also completely reusable and you don't have to worry about being out of film when you see something that you want to snap in a hurry.

Oh, one more big advantage - no more opening the junk drawer to see several rolls of undeveloped film that you have no clue as to what they contain!

I don't have a camera right now, broke my old one. I'm looking forward to getting a digital camera. I think it's great if a picture isn't the way you want it, you can delete it.

All my family has the digital cameras now but me. Maybe I should save the online money I make for the camera.

Hi Desmaster, I love my digital camera, I do not miss the old ones at all. Like you mentioned there are so many things you can do with the digital cameras that you could not do before. I have a Kodak camera that I love and a Kodak printer when ever I want to print out my own pictures. I never have to pay for pictures that comes out bad like we had to do years ago. I can go to an event and take hundreds of pictures, delete the pictures I don't like or want and never have to buy film, how great is that.

I love having a digital camera! I think one of the big advantages is that, like you said, you can take so many more pictures with digital cameras, and also you can preview the pics and delete the ones that don't come out right to make room for new ones. Also, if there is a pic that you really want to get, then you can make sure it looks ok, or retake the picture if need be. I also really like that I don't have to spend as much money on buying film and getting pictures developed anymore. I can just choose to print the pictures that I want, or just put them directly on the computer to email to others or save onto a cd. It's really nice to be able to just save the pics on the computer or a cd and then erase the memory card and use it all over again for more pics!

I have a Kodak, love it takes great pictures, then I can just download and print. Much better then the old cameras.

Mine's a Sony, 7.2 Megapixels, which has a zoom lens and takes movie pictures as well, which is great.

I prefer a digital camera because you can see the picture you're taking on the screen, develop the pictures straight away instead of having to take them to a photo shop to be developed, delete the ones which are not so good, and print off whichever ones you choose to.

Well, I love digital cameras. I've always enjoyed taking pictures, and when I got my digital camera it was great, because I could take even more! I have over 5000 pictures stored on a backup hard drive for my computer, and I also have about another 1000 pictures that are still on my camera that need to be uploaded!

I used to have a Kodak, and wish that I still had it, because it was a lot better than the camera that I have now. I bought this new camera, which is a Sanyo, because it was only $90 at Wal-Mart. I really should have looked at the picture quality before actually making the purchase, but I was just so excited about having a new camera! It takes okay pictures, as long as what your taking a picture of stays COMPLETELY still. It drives me nuts.

I just went to a wedding in February, and I had to take so many pictures just so that I could possibly get some good ones of the bride and groom. I only got about 200 good pictures out of probably 500. I am going to probably get a new camera, even though this one is brand new, and this time I'm going with Kodak again.

I agree with you. I also like the fact that you can edit the photos before printing or uploading them. I like that you can upload the to your computer and send your photos to family and friends. I have a Samsung camera too. Theres so many different features on this camera compared to the polarid that I had before.

I like the digital camera because you can get several shots until you get one you like without wasting film. Very helpful.
