why do people gamble, there are so many people who do nothing in life but gamble. is also a kind of a business or a job? what percentage of risk is involved in it compared to starting your own business. i sometimes wonder is gambling for the educated lot or for people who cannot find a job in life

I think that people gamble because they believe that this is the easiest way to double, triple or quadruple the value of their money in the quickest way possible. Of course, most, if not all, know the risks involved. However, some people are risk takers. Though others have good winning streak, some do not really have that much luck when it comes to gambling. Sad to say that there are people who would bet their hard earned money only to lose it in the end.

It's or people who want to make a buck without much effort or work on their part and sadly, it becomes an addiction. My dad was a gambler and he had people threaten us, as well as himself and after my aunt (his sister) paid off his debt in order to keep him and his family alive, he still went right back to it. It's really sad....
