My son got a pair of Converse and they are so adorable!

He wears them all the time now. He describes them as his first tie shoes. They are a pain in the butt though since we've been putting velcro shoes on him for two years. My MIL insists we get shoes fitted and all this fancy stuff for him, but I can't justify spending even $30 on a pair of shoes he will outgrow within months. She was just told that it could prevent kid's feet from growing in properly. I sure hope not because these are from a garage sale! He goes in for his 3 year visit next week and we will ask. For now, they will be worn.
