I've seen Dylan in concert once and really enjopyed it. He does have a very different voice.

Many musicians have both drug and alchohol problems. They also suffer from lack of sleep especially when touring.

If I pay good money for a show I stay till the end even if it isn't up to my expectations as otherwise I just wasted the money.

i can't speak for that night but he was not drunk when i saw him. he was amazing. even if his voice isn't the same as it was in the 60s. even if he didnt do drugs, or smoke cigs i'm sure his voice wouldn't be the same. many people's voices get beat up as the grow older.
