More and more persons are asking that cheerful colors be worn to the funerals of their loved ones. We did the same for my father's fueral.
I hate funerals overall so anything that can lighten the moment is very much welcomed. I hardly ever wear black and white to a funeral anymore. I just think that the colors cause the occassion to look and feel that more gloomy and unbearable. I hate it when funerals feel like a real tomb experience if you know what I mean. A sea of black and white is an assualt on the emotions. Why add that to an already challenging occassion?
Colors do tend to affect or dictate ones mood. Black and white or full black as been the traditional funeral garb and has surely taken on that sombre role even though they make an attractive outfit. I appreciate it more when not worn to a funeral so...Cheerful colors please.
What say you?

Yes I do. It's just something we have always done and were told to do. I have seen other family members wearing color too, and that's only happened over the last year. I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes the norm :)
