Was the third Cricket Test pitch doctored to suit India

Its nice to see India bounce back after such a bad loss in the previous test, but it leaves me with questions as to whether it was true cricketing talent that helped India win against South Africa or if it was a pitch that bwas doctored to suit Indian spinners? It would have been disastrous for India to lose at home - so was there some other factors manipulated to help India win?

well i know the pitch was like that. but the thing is it is the same pitch for both the teams if you know that you are touring india, the you should know that you will get spinning tracks which is out strenght. but still we have green grass in the second test match. do we get spinning tracks in other coutnries. if we tour SA, we will not get spinnign tracks. so this is ok. every home team prepares the pitch according to their own strenght. that is why it is difficult to win against home team. the home team will take the advantage. if you are better in that then you deserve to win. more over, they played bad crcket. they could not pick up the tenth wicket on a pitch which assisted the bowlers. the tenth wicket partnership made 46 rns which made a huge difference.

No i dont think so. the pitch had variable bounce which helps both the spinners and the pace bowlers. we saw ishant getting a couple good wicket on this pitch. ganguly and laxman batted well and the southafricans did not apply themselves very well on the third day. They let the partnership between ishant and sreeshant to build and thus india got to 60 runs lead which was very high on this pitch. the batsmen failed to score some runs because u can never expect the odd ball which keeps low or kicks high. some south africans did that in the first innings and saurav, laxman and yuveraj scored quick runs for india. That was the best way of batting on this surface to score quick runs but south africa did not do that and paid the price for just trying to stay at the wicket.

Hello, pitstop! why do you think so?the pitch was prepared long since which favored the spinners.it was discussed earlier by the experts.the South Africans also had good spinners with them and they engaged them in right time for damaging Indian partnerships.but they could not give a good lead in the second innings for which the Team India got a small target which they could easily achieved.thanks to the bowlers which dominated the third day of the match and ended with a convincing victory.thank you.

I was just thinking out loud as they performed so badly in the previous test and there is bound to be speculations about such a sudden turnaround!

how does it matter how is the pitch? both the teams r playing in the same pitch right..it really doesnt matter..both the teams know how the pitch is..n they know how they should play n wat their strengths r..both side batted n bowled in the same pitch..so wat really matters is how they r going to have the pitch in there favour n win...

Yes I think the pitch was made for Indian team but all the credit cannot be given to the pitch only because unless and until the players perform with the right spirit the results cannot come.I think it was a case of 50/50.

i think even if the pitch was manipulated they did a good job by winning the test
