Is there some way I can value my jewellery myself, without paying a fortune?

I have 6 rings, that I would like to sell. These have all been given to me by family members, and so I know they're real, although obviously I cant prove this just by word of mouth. As I have no idea how much some of these rings are worth, I dont want to pay a fortune in valuation fee's when that may actually be worth more than the ring itself. Amongst the 6, I have what I believe to be a full sovereign ring (1906 coin) and 2 white gold and diamond rings.(engagement and eternity)

If they are made of gold, get the jewellery weighted at a medium or small jewel shop. If stones/pearls are there in it, get the approximate weightments for it and reduce it in total gold weightment. Find out current gold rate (every day it keeps changing). You can sell your jewellery at 10% less than the market price of gold, minus making charges. for a quick sale, contact your friends and their friends.
