What it is your opinion about the books of Sven Hassel?

Sven Hassel it is write about war,about the war of germani whit rusia.He wrotte about the life on the field war.He write this books:1)The legion of the damned:2)Wheels of teror;3)Comrades of war;4)March battalion;5)Assiganment gestapo;6)Monte cassino;7)Liquidate paris;8)SS-general;9)Reghn of hell;10)Blitzfreeze;11)The bloody road to death;12)Court martial;13)O.G.P.U. prison;14)The comissar.I like the O.G.P.U prosin because it is a funy and intersting book on the same time.Sven Hassel write about the funny part,and the ughly part of war.I like hes books.

As for me, I am also a huge fan of Sven Hassel and I did read all the books you mentioned before. And I did enjoy them very much. I even read another two books, that were obviously fake because the names were slightly modified. The author was not Swen Hasel , and instead of Porta it was Porrta or something like that. There were a lot of rumors regarding the soldier Hassel, some of them say that he wasn't even on the front, and that he was only a bicycle thief but I highly doubt that. In my opinion Sven Hassel is a great writer, who did fulfill his promise, towards his brothers-in-arms, that if anyone of them would survive the horrors of WWII, the one would write about it, to let everybody know how horrible it was.
