about the book Thorn Birds...  | |  For those who haven't read this book..i woud recommend it
and for those who have read it..i would like to have your opinion on the story line where meggie and ralph could not be together for ..a lot reasons..do you think its justified to sacrifice so much..is it worth the pain and unhappiness?what is your say?

| | | | | | | | 1.  MichaelJay (693) | 5 months ago |  We saw this story as a tv series many years ago where Ralph as played by Richard Chamberlain. My wife was enthralled by it and many years later bought a copy of the book. She thought the book was better than the film.
Ralph did make huge sacrifices for the sake of his beliefs, but in the end Iguess that's a personal decision and not everybody would have that strength. Or is it weakness? Such a personal thing but a story brilliantly told.
