Thick Coarse hair

I need some tips on straightening my hair. It is VERY thick and coarse. When I go have it trimmed, she does an awesome job on it, but I can never achieve that same great look at home. Any tips would be great :)

Thank you for the reply. I have an uncle that once told me I had "KIND" hair... the kind that grows on a horses behind :)

I have the same issues. I bought some smoothing shampoo and conditioner. Then I blow it dry as straight as I can. Then I use the straightening iron on it. I have one that is slightly curved. I like that because it makes it kind of bubble under. Then I rub some shine serum in my palms and smooth it on.It takes a bit of time to straighten my hair, but is worth it for special occasions. On regular days I just wash and blow it dry and rub the shine serum on it.
