 sorry guys! for the ff. words: Once I was a blind, following doctrines and teachings of the Catholics even without asking if what Im doing was right"
I was born and raised up by a catholic parents. Ever since my childhood and up to my teenhood I have devoted almost my life for the church. choirs,sackistan...etc. and even in the preparoty seminary. I never had a single doubt on doctrine before, not until a I met someone, and He said, "bro. read your bible and always pray to God that He openup and lighten your minds" I just did what He said. I didnt joined his group but I really did what he said, until one day 1 question came into my mind... any many came after."
I just listed in below, I wish you could answer the ff. and tell me that Im still blind.
1) why do we have images, we bow on them, carry them on our shoulders, kiss them, put flowers and candles to them, and even pray and worship them;
though it clearly said on the ten commandments
Exodus 20:4-5(KJV) "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven abobe, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; Thou shalt not bow down theyself to them,...."
2) why do we worship the saints and extends up to their relics? though it is still clearly in the commandments Exodus 20:3 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me:"
3) why do we pray to Mary and to all saints, and even we ask prayers to gates of heaven (sited on the litany), ist an insult to God? I couldnt find any verse in the bible that a single christin prayed to a human being and even to objects such as gates of heaven
4)Why ist the church was called Iglesia Catolica Apostolica Romana/ Holy Roman Catholic Apostolic Church, but in the bible cited in many verse was Church of God? and why the Catholic Church was in Rome, ist suppostedly in Israel where Jesus Christ preached and early Christians lived?
5) why ist The Priest being address as Father, and The Pope "Most Reverend"
6)"Freely ye have received, freely give." Matthew 10:8
----why ist that we have to pay for everything, since birth and even upto our dieng hours, we have to pay for the service w/c suppostedly FREE (baptism, confirmation,wedding,1st communion etc...)
and a lot more... I just couldnt fit it all here
