Man Proposes Marriage By Hacking Video Game

This really happened. It seems that a man by the name of Bernie Ping, who is a computer programmer, proposed to his fiancee by hacking into her favorite video game. The game is a popular matching game called Bejeweled. The article stated that it took Ping a month to reprogram the game so that Ms. Liu would see the proposal when s
he reached a certain score. She has accepted the proposal. Popcap Games who are the makers of Bejeweled is gifting the couple by flying them to Seattle for their honeymoon. Party favors will be, of course, Bejeweled games.2 people like this

Oh that is so sweet. I like unusual proposals. It sound real romantic. Maybe someday my ex/husband will propose to be in a unusual romantic way.

Oh some people are just so much fun. Can you imagine how surprised she would be to see that pop up? I'm thinking this is a program downloaded on their computer and not the website though...otherwise I can't imagine the makers being so nice about it.

I think that is awesome and very romantic that he proposed like that,and if I was a video game programmer when I proposed to my fiance I would have done something like that,because that is special and you dont see it happening alot.

Thats cool they should hire him! I heard of a guy here who got a professor to give his girlfriend fake directions for a field trip (it was an online class and everyone had to do 2 individual fieldtrips) so that he could propose to her that way. Some guys are very imaginative when it comes to proposals lets hope they treat the marriage with the same energy, devotion and creativity.

That's really sweet! For someone who isn't into video games it may not seem very romantic but obviously these two both are so it's quite clever of this guy. I'm glad it was a game like Bejeweled because that is more romantic than most other video games.

wow, the story is actually sweet and romantic. and it is also unique since it is the first time i heard that a proposal was made through a game. i really hope that they are happy since a married life is not like a game that you could just save when you are tired and jusr return when you miss it, it cannot be deleted when you lose like all computer games. goodluck then to them. thank you.

well, there are different ways of proposing to a girl either complicated like the hacker do and other very simple but has originality. see to it that you can make it, the difficult time of a man is when proposing to a girl because we do not know if the answer is yes or no, how about if no? it's very disappointing to us so we make sure that the answer is yes. LOL
