Nascar at Talledega

Well, it's almost that time again. Nascar at Talladega. Have you been? I have been a few times, both as a fan and as part of an ARCA team. So, I have been in the garages and the pits and the stands. A dear friend of ours is one of the paramedics so she is very active at the track right now.
Do you watch from the comfort of your living room or go to the infield or the stand? We prefer the comfort of the living room now a days. The traffic is insane! The prices for drinks and such are insane also.
Do you have a favorite driver? I am a Mark Martin fan. I loved Alan Kulwicki. That's me, for the underdog. I met him at a local fanfare once. So intense. I got him to laugh and smile though.
The paramedic friend, Ursula, she knows them all. She has gone on trips with Bill Elliot and his bunch. One of my favorite stories about her has to do with Dale Earnhart. He was at the track once practicing and he was singing the theme song from George of the Jungle. They handed her the headset so she could listen. You may recall George's girlfriend was Ursula. When he got done he jumped out of the car and handed her a stuffed monkey. They all adore her.
