There are so many people in our society today with diabetes and are taking so much medication. But if we really understand what diabetes is we might be able to help control it. It is the way our bodies digest food for growth and energy. It is truly a METABOLIC DISORDER. Most of the food we eat are broken down into glucose; the form of sugar in the blood. After the food is digested glucose passes into the blood stream where it is used for growth and energy. For glucose to get into the cells insulin must be present INSULIN is really a HORMONE produced by the PANCREAS behind the stomach. But we must not forget to incorporate some form of exercise in our diets, be it walking, jogging, swimming or cycling. For us who are OVER-WEIGHT; let's try and keep it under control.

thank you for this insightful post, yes you are right diet and exercise are crucial facts in controlling diabetes. I am not very good at doing either of those things though.

it goes by how many posts you can make in a month for earnings, so if you do more than me, for example if I do 100 posts a day which I try for but you do 200 a day you will actually make more money than me for that month.

Excercise, Good eating habits, and overall care of oneself is a very good way to help prevent or stop Diabetes. When a person takes the time to get out there and walk, swim, jog, etc. they are helping their body out in more ways than one. But at the same time people who do this, and then constantly are eating JUNK food, and carbs all of the time may not be helping their body out much either. Too many people are doing nothing about that factor even when they excercise, and to me, that could be defeating your purpose. So many people could benefit if they would only just take a little time out of their busy schedule and try and better their life in some form or another. With Diabetes quickly becoming the SILENT killer, and so many people out there walking around with it, and never being tester properly for it, what better way to help prevent some of it than to be aware, and eat healthier while excercising more as well. Something truly to think about indeed.
