We have one senior in our town. She is a juliette. Her mom is a leader for the cadettes. They will all be seniors next year and the one will join back with the troop.
They work on badges at home as well as will the cadettes. She is lucky to have the chance to visit with the troop to work on some of the requirements that really need a group to do.

That's cool. I miss my daughter being in a troop sometimes. Do you think it is better that they stay in a troop as they get older? I thought maybe the independance of being a Juliette would keep a girl in longer as they get older.

I think it would depend on the girl. Some work better on their own while others would do better in a troop setting. I do think it is a good idea for a Juliette to have group activities. I have heard of some Juliettes around here that get together every month or two and work on somethings together.
Also having a trained leader is always an asset. Perhaps you could find a really good leader to bounce ideas off of.
I believe as a parent of a Juliette, you can get level trainings from council. I find them very informative even to leaders who have been in Scouts for ages. Also I KNOW you can go to the area Leaders meetings so you can find out what is going on in your area.

I am acutally the Juliette Coordinator for our area. I go to all the leader meetings and my daughter does a lot of the neighborhood events and also works with a troop when she sells products and cookies.
I have two other Juliettes that I keep in contact with. They have another leader that is closer to them that they refer to when it comes to badge work and such. I am trying to get the girls together to do the memorial day parade this year.
