do think other people can know you better than yourself?

I agree with you but there are things about us that are makes us know ourselves better when recognized by other people like being friendly (you have to have a lot friends), caring (for other people and not just to yourself, generous, etc... There is an activity done in personality development course when you have to fill up four quadrants about yourself. the first quadrant refers to things you know about yourself, and the second one are for the things you know about yourself that other people have told you. The third one are for things you don't know about yourself that other people have told you and the last one is what you don't know about yourself that only God knows. So the 4th q is left blank and the third quadrant will make you realize how other people view you as you, whether good or bad, is still their perception but would still affect you.

Dear friend, Others could only know according to what we show them but we know what we have inside. Other cannot read our mind unless we tell them and what we have to say and what our mind make us project is analyzed by others to characterize a personality for them. Hence I feel there are lots of limitations for others to know us.

I can't answer that in a general way in all honesty because I think it depends on the person..I know myself better than anyone BUT during my healing from my past I did a GREAT DEAL of soul searching and self discovery for many yrs..I have a very close friend who also know herself better than anyone...Both of us however are great at getting to the bottom of a persons character and generally know others better than they know themselves...

Very true,no one knowes us better than we ourselves. no matter how much we deny it,all of us do have a certain part of us that no body will ever know, no matter how frank we are with them.Now that is the very thing which makes us an individual.Each diffrent from another.
