What if you grew up, never knowing who Jesus was?

What if you grew up in a poor country. Your family can barely afford to clothe you, nonetheless afford books to educate you. This situation is not rare, not even in the world today. You don't go to school, you work with your family and you all work to survive. Are you also a part of the damned? Because you've never learned about Jesus and what he preached? Would God, the loving "Father" just abandon you because you don't have the means to learn what others tell you to believe? Or would God manifest inside of you in another way? If there is any truth to any Divine Power, then the latter would be the case. Just because people do not know who Jesus was, who Allah is, who your God is, does not mean they do not believe.

Regardless. I'm asking what if, given WHATEVER the circumstances, or if your parents never taught you, are you dmned because you don't know this universal character or do you believe that God would not abandon his children and would manifest inside of them some other way, whether they knew the name Jesus or not?

I would think that you wouldn't be thinking about a God at all - just enjoying your life.

You completely avoided the actual question, Would the Christian God deny any of his "children" if they happened to never have heard of him...

Well I think thats what we have missionary's for, they go out and tell others about Jesus. In places where we would never go, in the poorest of countries, they leave their families behind to do what God has called them to do, he wants everyone to know who he is. My mother-in-law is a missionary in South Africa, she's been there for 8yrs. now, she said the place she lives is now the 3rd poorest country in the world, they don't have anything. The only hope they have to hold onto is the fact that they are learning about who Jesus is, because of people like my mother in law, who left her family here in the U.S. to do what God has called her to do, even tho we would like to see her more often or hear from her more often, we know she is where she wants to be. She has such a tremendous love for those people, and we believe she will never come home to live here, she will live the rest of her days there in Africa, she's already 70 yrs.old. I think I may have gotten off track, but thats what I was meaning to say, is thats why we have missionary's, to go to those underpriviledged countries.

Do you think those missionaries reach everyone who has never heard about God? What happens to those good people, who struggle everyday to feed and care for their families, but never abandon hope or their duties? Do you think God neglects these people, or that maybe THESE are really God's chosen people? Real people, living real lives, taking care of those they love and have around them, those that need it. Children, sick family. You know, REAL PEOPLE.... (I think it is beautiful what your mother-in-law does, she must have an incredible amount of faith, but I'm wondering about those who do not have the experience with the missionaries, that still live their lives the best way they know how...)
