1.  melissaruth1 (2860) | 6 months ago |  I have been a nurse since I was 17 yrs old, and have pretty much enjoyed every minute of it. I have worked in almost every department, and have learned so many things. While I think the health care field, is so much different, and not always in a good way, than when I first started, I cant see myself doing any other job. I do only work part time now, as I stay home with my children, but I cant see not ever doing it at all. I do love jewelry and gemstones, making my own jewelry, but even if I were to be able to open a little boutique, nursing would always be my first love. I really dont know how to do anything else, as that is all I have done my whole adult life.

3.  sashashimp (106) | 4 months ago | I have been a cna for 13 going on 14 years in december and i love my job. The only thing is i have been trying to get in to the nursing program her in south dakota and have been rejected for 3 yrs in a row now. They talk about the shortage of nurses but they only take a limited amount of people in the programs. Ever since i started working as a cna i have wanted to be a nurse because it is so rewarding being able to help others. So right now i am just waiting for the time to reapply again to see if i can get in. | |

| Ambitiouz (170) | 4 months ago |  Keep applying and you'll eventually get into nursing school. I wasn't accepted on my first try either. Maybe you should try applying to a few programs so that you'll have many choices. I know many nursing schools that give extra points to CNAs. Good luck!

| 4. 1337speak (149) | 3 months ago |  I'm a fresh graduate, still waiting for the result of the board examination. It's really fun being a nurse -- helping doctors, assisting people, dealing with patients... I'm quite excited working as a nurse with my own license. The compensation may may be terrible in my country and the work hours are long, but I love the job.
