Elvis impersonators

We have a guy around here that impersonates Elvis and I must say he does a pretty good job of it. I was working at the nursing home and when they told me that he was coming in and referred to him as Elvis I just looked at them. Then came the day for him to come in. This was the first year I had worked at the nursing home. When I say him I couldn't believe it. He was the spitting image of Elvis and his voice sounded exactly like Elvis. After the first time whenever he came back to the nursing home which he did on a pretty regular schedule I always made it a point of being there.

I have never met the real Elvis in person or have seen him perform. I wish I had because I was in Vegas in the early 70s when he performed before he died. My husband and I have a friend who loves Elvis. Several years ago for her 50th birthday she had an Elvis impersonator come to her house and perform. When my husband and I walked into her house we heard Elvis singing. We thought it was one of his recordings being played. When we got into the living room it was the Elvis impersonator singing! We were so shocked because he sounded just like Elvis! We saw him again at a craft show one day without his white jumpsuit on. We stopped him and told him we saw him at our friends house. He was so nice and invited us to come and listen to some gospel music he was going to be singing at an event the next day. I have seen several Elvis impersonators in Las Vesgas ... but not as good as was!

Yes there's a particular Elvis impersonator who I've seen a couple of times and the last time I saw him I had had a bottle of wine and I went up and met him personally after and told him how my dad met Elvis' guitarist and scarf man years ago. It was funny. It's kind of funny because no matter how good an impersonator is, they'll never be as good as the real King of rock and roll!

There are so many Elvis impersonators that it is hard to believe that he is dead. Thank God for these impersonators who give those who never saw Elvis to meet him in "person". These are really Elvis both in clothes and songs and I assume in spirit.
