Bachelor and it's Murphy's Law | | Do you actually believe that the contestants on these Bachelor/Bachelorette shows are really looking for true love? I think they're looking for money! Or some prime time on TV. Same about the main guy/girl,they are already known and want to become more famous. And they always make up sweet romantic endings with him putting a ring on the Chosen One's finger, that kinda makes me think "Hold on,wasn't that expected and decidee long time ago???" Also,I've noticed that whenever we hear the contestants talk about their feelings towards the Prince/Princess,the ultimate word is Connection."Yeah,I was eliminated today but I still think we've got incredible connection!..." Not an episode goes by without the magic word:))))) What are your observations?

I've seen a couple seasons, but mostly because there was nothing else on. Now, you can catch episodes online. As for their sincerity and really looking for love, I'm not so sure. I think it's just a ploy to get fame or public attention. Maybe money, like you said. Like that attorney who made a big public stink when the guy didn't choose her in round one. They kept replaying out-takes and behind the scenes moments from that. I'm not sure how that helped her career, because it looked very unprofessional. But, then again, maybe she was looking to go into private practice. The national attention would not have hurt. So, I think you have a very valid point. And, what's with the "connection" thing, anyway. Maybe the loser contestants make that kind of comment as an attempt to keep themselves from over-reacting and embarrassing themselves in public. Kind of like saying, "There's always hope, he could still call me!" Maybe! Maybe not.
