Death sentence |
|
I am a colon cancer survivor. I have talked to a lot of survivors that have had their cancer reappear some where else, and have been told they are terminal. Once cancer gets hold of you, you are dead. It's just a matter of time. I am just waiting for my next appearance, and my death sentence. My neighbor had testicular cancer, and it went to his lungs after they said they had got it. Death sentence. The neighbor through the block had prostate cancer, and they thought they had it. He died a year later. The cancer had wrapped around his heart, and he was terminal. A guy 2 blocks away from me had skin cancer, they got it. So they thought, he died the next year, pancreatic cancer. Once cancer gets you, you are dead. My wife's uncle was luckier, he didn't die until his 4th cancer. I am just waiting to die.

1. Angelwhispers (4198) | 3 months ago | Hi there oldcoger, Welcome to my lot. I hate to hear that you have been so sick. Cancer is a very scary disease. but it does not have to be a death sentence. There are big strides being made, you have to have faith in your doctors and stay positive. You should never declare something like this and let it take your power. Do you have anyone to talk to such as a pastor, a mentor or maybe someone professional? You need some faith in yourself and your life. I would encourage you to reach out to other cancer survivors and maybe join a group. You would be amazed at the support that others want to give. don't give up so fast.

2. Marleysa (2557) | 3 months ago | There are people who do not die from it, my dear. Chin up and don't lie down waiting for it to come..you might call it to you? I was diagnosed and treated for cervical cancer in 1991 and have been "clean" ever since..it never came back and never will..its 17 years ago and I've almost forgotten about it..my uncle was given 6 months to live by two different doctors..he went to a homeopath and was treated..within 4 months he went back to those two doctors and they couldn't believe what they saw! He had no cancer whatsoever..he went on to live 35 years before he died from a heart attack at age 75...If he could do it..so can we..just be positive!

3. rmuxagirl (5333) | 3 months ago | I dont think cancer is a death sentence. We cannot have that frame of mind. We need to have hope and fight like nothing else. I heard it said once that it's hard to kill someone who refuses to die.

| oldcoger (71) | 3 months ago | After I have talked to alot of people with cancer, most have had reoccurances and have been told they are terminal. I am just waiting for my time to die. It is not that you refuse to die, once you have cancer it will kill you. Cancer will reappear, and you have no control over it. I know I am going to die, and I'm accepting that fact. I AM DEAD AND I KNOW IT.
