He doesn't like my coffee?  | |  Yesterday two foreign colleagues came to have a meeting. This was a circular and personal meeting, once with one person for about one hour. When it came to my boss's turn, it's about 3 o'clock, and two people had already talked. So one of my colleagues walked up to me and said the two foreigners are too sleepy, they need a cup of coffee to refresh. Luckily i've thought about it and had already made coffee. To my surprise, after the meeting, i found one cup of coffee had be drunk out, while the other's not. It seemed that the drinker had one taste and then never touched it again. I didn't attend the meeting, but i can imagine his diamay, maybe shrug his shoulder and frown. What do you usually make your coffee? Do people like yours?

As you say he was not from your regular staff where you possibly know how they like their coffee but he was a foreigner. You cant read his mind about coffee and whether one likes the coffee served or dislikes it depends on the brand of coffee, the coffee beans used, the way of toasting and so much more.
Its the same when I visit my mom. She likes a certain brand of ground coffee and makes it everytime. She makes it really strong and when I get to her I usually ask her for a bit of hot water added to my cup of coffee as its really too strong for me how she makes it.
Or take my husband as an example, he gets nose bleeds sometimes and this also can come from too strong coffee so he makes his coffee really weak now to prevent these nosebleeds. He could not drink that strong stuff either as well meaning my good mom is to make a good coffee.
