Are you dreading year 2009 because of the switch to DTV?

At first, I was gonna ask if any of you people were planning to buy the converters but it doesn't look like we have any choice. Unless,of course, someone wants to sit in front of a blank TV come February 2009. I'm pretty sure most of you have DTV already with all those cable and satellite opportunities,I myself have an HDTV so it's not a problem for me. But what about folks that can't afford an expensive TV? Do you think the government coupon program is gonna work?

i'm not dreading it,but i am slightly annoyed about it.two of my older ones should be fine, they're hooked up to cable, but i'm going to have to get a box for my kitchen one,it's independant.

On one hand,it's good to be switching to digital TV but I think that's one more case of government controlling our lives. Big Brother's watching you!... lol

Read my article on Associated Content.com It's under Jeff Rogers titled "How To Make Your TV Compliant For The Digital Switch." I don't plan to buy the converter but I think a lot of people will have to.
