| Did you go through your kids' toys to check for lead?  | | | |  Have you been to the website with all the toys listed for recalls? There were toys being recalled for lead and other faults. Well, we had a bit of a scare with lead recently and I went to this site and the list is ridiculously long. I went through a lot of the list and found a couple of things we owned that had warnings on them. I was irrate! What about things that aren't on the list like older toys? Well, I hope thigs change a bit because I think a lot of us have had it. We try so hard to protect our kids. We should not have to worry about the toys and crayons we give them. Did you find anything on the list that you got rid of?

| |  We just won't purchase ANY products from China. Most other modernized nations have already banned the unsafe substances from products. China is either thirty years behind the rest of the world or is trying to slowly kill us off with their inferior and unsafe products. I will NEVER purchase a product made in China. Until they can meet international standards and have safety measures in place, I think anyone would be foolish to support their economy.

| |  I dont recall cheking my kids toys for lead. I think those things are just ways to tell parents what to buy, I think you are the only ones that can tell whats good or wrong for your kids. If you want to gve your kid a bike or pair of skates. You can browse this website.

| |  I don't buy any china-made toys. All the toys I buy are made in USA
or made in Europe. It is difficult but possible to find great toys that are safe.
You need to read labels because even if the brand is from the US it does not mean it is made in the US (Mattel
is a great exemple).
If you want great toys, that are safe check these brands:
Montgomery Schoolhouse (made in Vermont!)
Selecta (made in Germany. They are commited to sustainable forest management, they use natural bee wax finish, and no toxic paint).
Kathe Kruse (made in Germany)
Haba toys
Kallisto organic stuffed toys
I am always on the look out for great quality toy. They cost me more, my son has less, but
what is important is his safety and also the fact that I make a green choice. I will not pay big money, to a US or european company that have no respect for anything but money.
