garfield fans:whatever happened to jon's roommate?

i remember reading the garfield books when they first came out,when he was a much sloppyier looking cat,and at that time,there was a guy who lived with jon who had a mustache-and he just gradually disappeared from the strip.i think he might also have been odie's original owner too.
did garfield eat him (kidding)?
it's like he said here's a dog,bye LOL

Hi scarlet_woman! I am really not an avid follower of Garfield but have read some Garfield comics. However, all I remember is Jon, Odie and Garfield but not the man who had a moustache. haha..I guess, he ran away. Just my thoughts dear friend. Take care and have a nice day!

i think his name was lymon.
i'm pretty sure that's correct.but it's funny,after the first or second book,he just disappears.
