singapore.....................

I have been to Singapore three times and I really like it there. The first time I went there I flew in from Darwin and I explored the city center, did some shopping and spent time on the man made beach. The second time I went there I came by taxi from the border with Malaysia. I had fallen down an open drain in Malaysia and hurt my leg so I was on crutches. So I walked slowly and didn't explore as much that time. The third time I was there I flew in from Perth. I took a bus out to the National Park where I did some walking and tried not to let the monkeys get my picnic. There is a fine if a person is caught feeding a monkey. Singapore is a great introduction to Asia for a traveler on their way to Australia or New Zealand.

thanks for the kind compliments for our country. i am born and bred in singapore and i have to admit i'm loving it here. although sometimes it's a little stifling when it comes to expression of opinion, the rest more than make up for it. although we are still pretty young as a country, i'd like to think that we have accomplished quite a lot. there are still many things that we can improve upon though but overall, i'd think we are doing pretty well. cheers ;D
