Which team would you want to see in the finals?

Great username! One thing is wrong with this is both Calgary and The Avs are in the West. And sadly the Flames got eliminated. The Avs are playing my Red Wings. In the east The Penguins,The Rangers, The Canadiens, The Flyers.Which eastern team would you like to meet your Avs?

My favorite team is the NEW JERSEY DEVILS.

You can't see the games? Oh G-d, that is tragic.We are in the second round. The Red Wings are up 2 games to 0 over the Avs. Wings are the first seat in the West, the avs are 6th.The Stars are up 2 games to 0 over the Sharks. The Sharks are #2 seat and The Stars are # 5. In the East The Canadiens are tied with a game a piece with The Flyers. The Habs are #1 seat and The Flyers are # 6. And The Penguins are up 2 games to 0 over The Rangers . The Pens are #2 seat and The Rangers are #5. Isn't that cute? Both the west and the east have #1 vs #6 and #2 vs #5.

I like the Rangers too and The Red Wings and The Penguins . Two other teams that made to the playoffs but were eliminated were The Flames and The Caps.The only team I root for that didn't make the playoffs were the Coyotes.So the Pens-Rangers match-up is a little hard to watch. On one side, I want the Rangers to win because my all time favorite player, Brendan Shanahan is now a Ranger.but on the other hand, I love to see the Pens go all the way. Just a few years ago there was talk that the Pens would have to leave Pittsburgh and now they are selling out every game and they haven't lost a playoff game. They swept The Senators.this is where everything is as I write this. Tomorrow The has play The Flyers in Philly. I'll tel you how it goes.

The Sharks to lose to the Stars 5-2.I had to switch t.v.s at the 2nd intermission . The score was 2-1 Sharks.By the time I got to the game, it was 4-2 Stars. I changed the channel. the Sharks are not playing like the 2nd seat they are. I see The Stars advancing.Bummer.

The Habs lost to the Flyers 3-2.The flyers are up 2 games to 1.If the Habs play like they did tonight, this series is over.

As I write this, The Pens are up 3 games to 0 over the Rangers,The Flyers are up 3 games to 1 over The Habs, The Red Wings are up 3 games 0 over The Avs, and the Stars are up 3 games to 1 over the Sharks.

My Red Wings did it! They swept The Avs. Game four was 8-2 Wings. 8-2 in Colorado! The Sharks won last night so there will be a game 6.The Pens are up 3-1, they play Sunday. The Flyers are up 3-1 they play tonight.

The Flyers eliminated the Habs.#6 seat beats the #1 seat.It looks like it will be a battle for Pennsylvania. The Penguins vs the Flyers.Go Pens!

The Pens beat the Rangers in overtime So if The stars win tonight, then the next round will be set.As it is now, The Pens will host The Flyers and The Red wings will host either The Stars or The Sharks.

The Conference Finals are set. In The East it is The Pens host the Flyers. And The west is The Stars host the Red Wings.The Red Wing-Star start Thursday and The Pens-Flyers start Friday.

I'm rooting for the Stars. I can't stand the Red Wings. Let someone else win the Cup for a change.

Both series are 2-0. The Wings won both games at the Joe and The pens won both their games at home too.Two things you should know. First The Red wings game ended with a spear and a slash. Osgood "speared' Ribeiro with the butt of his stick as he skated by the net with 4 seconds to go in the third. As the buzzer sounded, Ribeiro gave Ozzy a two handed slash across the chest from the back of the net. Ozzy went down but was okay.I must confess that I didn't see Ozzy's stick in real speed. All I saw was the Ribeiro slash Ozzy and I was livid. I just knew he was going to be suspended.But upon further review. I mean I had to see the play three times from about two different angles, I saw that Ozzy did start it. So when they told me that both guys were fined and not suspended, I was happy.And the second thing you should know is the Flyers are playing without a key defenseman, Timonen.He has a blood clot on his ankle.The Flyers really miss him.I don't root for guys to be physically hurt, but I am happy the Flyers are down and if it is because of the lack of a player, so be it.Now the teams go to Dallas and Philly.Could both of these series be sweeps? Yes. It all depends on the teams that are down. They must play better or it will be over real soon.Talk to you later.

The Wings have lost two in a row. It is 3-2 Wings and the next game is in Dallas. I am not watching. I'll see how it came out. Tomorrow The Pens host The Flyers. the Pens are up 3-1.I will DVR the game and watch it later. I'll write with the results.

They did it! The Penguins are going to the final! They b*tch slapped the Flyers 6-0! It was great to see for anyone who loves the Pens and hates the Flyers.Now we all have to wait and see which team they will face.

The Red Wings eliminated the Stars. They beat the Stars 4-1.So Saturday Night the Wings will host the Penguins.These are both my teams so I will be happy with whomever wins.I am so glad that the Stars and The Flyers are out. I hate both of these teams.Game one will air Saturdat.

Game one. Red Wings 4, Penguins 0.The game was closer than the final score. In fact in the first it was like both teams mirrored each other. There was aRed wing disallowed because Holmstrom had his stick in between the legs of Fleury as they scored. but that was okay because The Wings scored and scored. One of the goals was a wrap around, another was a shorthanded goal. and they can thank Osgood for this win. He kept it 0-0 in the first when the Pens had 3-4 straight powerplays. Nothing got passed Ozzy.Game two is Monday.I'll write.

Game 2. The Red Wings won 3-0. The Pens haven't scored yet in the series. They didn't get their first shot on goal until there was 8 minutes to go in the first. It seemed like The Pens spent some of the time looking instead of playing. The Wings just shut them down. and Osgood was brilliant. He got interfered with and still had time to get into position, which was lying on his side, and stopped the shot.Fippula scored a Orr like goal . He was airborne by the time the puck was in the back of the net.Now the series goes to Pittsburgh Wednesday.

you forgot the most telling stat about the pens ... all three first period SOG came on one pp and first even strength shot was some 5 minutes into the second period.

Thanks Jared. Game 3 went to the Pens. They Finally scored on Osgood.They got to play their game.Crosby scored twice and the Pens won 3-2.There was a great pace to the game. If they keep this up, it will be a long series.

Game 4 went to The Wings, 2-1.This game had the most even period I have seen all series long. Each team tried to keep control of the puck. There were few shots on goal. It was a lot of "I got it, you take it" plays. Ozzy and Fleury would stop everything. But The Pens scored first on a powerplay. The Wings played their game except that they took too many penalties.But the Pens couldn't take advantange of them. In one powerplay, the Pens got one shot on goal.The Red Wings scored their first as their own powerplay ended.And the second goal of the night was a fluke, " how the hell did that go in?" type of goal. It was shot on Hudler's backhand and it hit Fleury's left elbow and bounced into the net. It was so fast and wierd that it took me the 3rd replay to see. And that replay was in super slow motion.After that goal. The crowd was out of it and the Pens couldn't get anything done. In fact they had a rare, and I mean rare, 5 on 3 for over a minute and they couldn't score. In fact they had to take a time out right in the middle. The Red Wings were their professional self and just shut them down. And they did it without Tomas Holmstrom. Tomas is their big guy who scenes Fleury.In fact I didn't even miss him until I started this post.Next game is Monday.I'll write .

Sarah have u herd the kids comments that Zetterberg was obstructing him on the 5-3. He also said anyone could do what Hank was doing. I am losing respect for him, esp. considering all of Det staff is singing his praises. I understand not wanting to come across as think you cant beat Det but he can at least have some respect.

Also Holmer is suppost to play monday, at least that is the word as of today. Chelios is expected to continue to be a healthy scratch as well, with some reporters saying we may have seen him in his last game already. part of me is sad at that thought. I want one more game at least just to say good bye

Jared, I didn't know the Kid was saying things like that.I haven't even noticed that Chelly isn't playing.Now I am so sad.He wanted to play until he was 50.

Game 5 was a marathon. after Three overtimes, The Pens scored on a powerplay.There were some questionable calls . And there was a own goal scored by the Wings.but with all this, it was a great game. If I weren't for the Pens and the Wings. I would be really upset. But I am not.So the next game is Wednesday.

The Red Wings win the cup!Game 6 was 3-2 Wings.The Red Wings scored first on the powerplay and slowly squeezed the life out of the Pens.Soon it was 2-1 and then A Zetterberg shot went through Fleury but it had stopped in the crease. Fleury thought he had it or at least stopped it but as he falls back his backside pushed the puck into the net. the Ref knew the puck was free and didn't blow the whistle so the goal counted. That made it 3-1. A goal late in the third made it 3-2. And with seconds to go in the third, Osgood stopped a shot and The wings won!

I am so sorry.They can get to the playoffs but they can't seem to go to the second round.They have the talent but something must be missing.

When Shanny was traded to the Rangers it was great. I was already a Ranger fan so I still got to root for him.I hope they can build on this year and don't go back to the " team " of stars they were last season.They always had the talent, I hope now they have the chemistry.In the back of my mind I was fearing that shanny would retire. I hope i am sooo wrong.
