Digital Painting  | |  I've always wanted to paint but since I don't have the money to fund for my artworks, I'm always trying to find an alternative.
Just last night I discovered that there's such a thing called 'Digital Painting' and I got really, really excited. But the thing is, I'm not that good with using Photoshop when it requires using brushes and all that stuff. I'm only familiar with photo editing and the basic things.
Can you please help me? If you know some links to tutorials for digital painting using photoshop cs3, can you please share them with me?

I realise that this is an old discussion but I thought I would add an answer for you, hopefully you will have had a good 4 months worth of practice with photoshop and digital painting now.
I would recommend buying a graphics tab if you don't already have one, it is practically a necessity when it comes to digital art.
Secondly, photoshop is very definable and just like you would buy different brushes for real painting, you can get different 'brushes packs' if you search google then you should find some good free photoshop brushes.
having said that, another good way to practice is to load a picture in to photoshop and while taking advantage of photoshops layers trace the picture on to a new layer.
Most of all, keep practising, it makes perfect.
