Well we had a few cutesy songs before our official one (Ticks by Brad Paisley) but we found our official one at Christmas. His mother bought me a Carrie Underwood C.D. for Christmas because that is what I asked for, and it had the song "So Small" on it. My Fiance and I were laying in bed listening to it a few weeks later when this part came on "It's okay to open up, go ahead and let the light shine through." and he commented "It's true." So it just stuck with us.
Neither of us really like to open up, so the song kind of fit. We are working on opening up to each other though, and the song is actually helping. Sometimes when we fight one of us will turn on the song, and it's like we instantly calm down. The song just awakens us and let's us know it's stupid to fight.

Sometimes that can be harder said then done. All the beautiful romantic lyrics out there, and mots of them just don't seem to fit. It's funny because alot of people believe they do, and in some instances it does, but for a song to quell the fights, that is hard to find. I hope you find the song for you though.

I always wondered about this too. Until the relationship I'm in now whne after only about a month or so my boyfriend starting humming/singing one line of a song he remembered from (randomly) an old bread advert. He said remembering the line 'You're lovely to me yes you are' was triggered by me. And since we've found the full song on Youtube - which is Lucky Jim I think. It's a really pretty song - though unfortunately not all the words are so catered for our relationship as the first line had promised but I still sing it randomly on happy days. And this will always be our song. I think it was nice that we didn't decide on a song - it kind of picked us:)

Ok well my hubby and I have been best friends our whole life. We have known each other since he was 3 and I was 5. In high school we dated off and on (upwards of 9 separate times). As we grew older we went our separate ways and had long term relationships that didn't work out. We found our way back to each other in our late teens/early 20s and have been married now for 18 years.
We have many songs that we consider to be our songs but the one that has always been exclusively ours is Air Supply's "All out of Love". Mostly because each time one of us broke up with the other the devastated one would dedicate this to the other. When we found our way back to each other we went to a party and this song played. We both were very touched and held each other very tight.
At our wedding we played Dan Seals "One Friend". There is a line in the song that says "If I had only one friend left I'd want it to be you". And that is how we still feel about each other to this day.
