High spot for me (apart from Dylan, of course)was Tom Paxton who I hadn't heard before.
Motif of the whole event was a mighty inflatable gorilla with fairy wings.

| |  This was a blast. 1969 had everyone that I like then playing and on the way down from St. Annes on Sea we stopped in London at Hyde Park for Brian's eulogy and Rollings Stone played free July 5th. Then on to Isle of Wight. Some of the players were just flying in from Woodstock shows, but they rocked hard into the night. A little rain but light, a show no one who saw it will forget. Bob Dylan and the Band were just great as was everyone.

| |  Sorry, but the only 2 performers I know are Bob Dylan and The Who. I wasn't born in 1969 and I think my mum was only a wee thing at the time. lol.
Only reason I know of Bob Dylan is because my adoptive mum was really into him. The Who, well, I watch CSI who uses one of their songs as the theme song.
