Avoiding Cancer |
|
Do you have relatives, friends, or even just someone you know that died because of cancer? I have two grandfathers, two grandmothers who died of it and I have one uncle who is suffering from it right now. As of now, I watch what I eat and as much as possible, stay stress-free and exercise every other day. How about you, what do you do to avoid cancer in the future?

3. snakequeen (643) | 3 months ago | A couple of my relatives had died of cancer. One of my close friends, who incidentally was my subordinate in office, died of cancer during mid 2006. Whenever possible, i used to help him monetarily also. I was a direct witness to see his sufferings continually for more than a year. Till 10 days before his death, he was attending office to a maximum possible extent! Even though he was given very good treatment, none could save his life. As far as i am concerned, i do not take any extra care except for meditation to a brief duration!

nanayangel (2434) | 3 months ago | Hi there snakequeen! It must be very difficult. My grandfather died a couple of days after the Cancer was detected and thankfully, we didn't saw him suffer that much. The doctor said that he was very lucky because usually, cancer of the brain is really painful. I think that it's great that your friend continued working even though he has cancer. I think that it's the best thing to do, not to stop living before dying. Thank you very much for your response.

5. alexigne (650) | 3 months ago | My father was died on lymphoma, a cancer on the lymph nodes. Since you wanna know how to prevent cancer, i may want to share top five causing cancer according to my friends which i receive tru email, here it is. The top five cancer-causing foods are:1. Hot dogs - Because they are high in nitrates. The Cancer Prevention Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you can't live without hot dogs, buy those made without sodium nitrate. 2. Processed meats and bacon Also high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs, bacon, and other processed meats raise the risk of heart disease. The saturated fat in bacon also contributes to cancer. 3. Doughnuts Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble. First, they are made with white flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils, then fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts, says Adams, may be the worst food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer. 4. French fries Like dough nuts, French fries are made with hydrogenated oils and then fried at high temperatures. They also contain cancer- causing acryl amides which occur during the frying process. They should be called cancer fries, not French fries, said Adams . 5. Chips, crackers, and cookies All are usually made with white flour and sugar. Even the ones whose labels claim to be free of trans-fats generally contain small amounts of trans-fats. If you can't resist this food, maybe you can consume lesser than before.

nanayangel (2434) | 3 months ago | Hi there alexigne! I am sorry to hear about your dad. Who is Adams? Thank you very much for that list. It's very informative and I am sure to have a really hard time avoiding those foods because I love chips and french fries. But from now on, I will try my best to stay away from them. Thank you very much for your response.

nanayangel (2434) | 3 months ago | yeah, you're right. One of its lessons is to not take our health for granted. Because without it, we won't be able to experience the fruits of our labour.

nanayangel (2434) | 3 months ago | Hi there 16031981! My grandmother died of ovarian cancer. I guess that's pretty similar. She died when my mom is still a teenager and by that time, technology to cure that hasn't reached our province yet. They weren't able to bring her to the city and have her checked because lack of money too. And knowledge I guess. They settled for "quack" doctors. I agree with you. Having a healthy lifestyle is the best way to prevent cancer. Thank you very much for your response.
