Has anyone heard about the tax rebates schedule?

I thought I read somewhere that people who had their rebates direct deposited would get them today. Monday April 28th. Has anyone heard?? Has anyone received their rebate yet?? I would like to know whats going on with it. I just barely made enough last year to qualify. I also saw that whatever you paid in Taxes (less $600) Is what you will receive. So If I only paid $500 in taxes i will only receive $500. Anyone know any different or if that is true. Please share your thoughts and your knowledge of this. Thanks.

to get the official word, but yes they start going out today.
To figure out how much you will be getting, go here:

Be sure you have your 2007 return. It takes about 5-10 minutes and it is only an estimate.

I just heard on the news today if your SS# ends in 00-20 then you will receive rebate today. But you had to have your 2007 tax return direct deposit to get the rebate this early.

Well mine is 57 so mine will be later than yours.
The direct deposits are suppose to be done by the 2nd of May. So hopefully we will get ours sometime this week.

Well, according to the IRS site I should have had mine direct deposited to my bank 'yesterday', Friday but it's not there - I got a letter from them a bit ago saying I would be getting it so am very very disappointed right now - I really really need that money but then was leary about it from the begining.

i just checked my checking and found that my tax already got deposited today....i have been wondering if im gonna get tax rebate since the day bush announced the tax rebate...i was reading your discussion and one response gave you a link to check your rebate...i went to that link and found out that my schedule is today...hehehe thank you so much for putting up this discussions...hehehe im so happy.
