What is prettier,Cardinal or Blue Jay?

Blue jays are unusal to see in my area. When I lived in a different state, I always saw them and considered them beautiful, magnificent creations. I confess, my heart belongs to a Cardinal. Several years ago, in a moment of total despair, I looked up and saw a bright red cardinal staring into my eyes. As silly as it sounds, the experience was mystical. I see lots of Cardinals. I love seeing both the male and female together at my bird feeder. A few days ago, while I was camping with a friend, a Cardinal came so close to me I could almost touch him. He stayed with me, flying to different trees and back to me for at least forty-five minutes. I don't know what he was trying to tell me, but once again I found that mystical connection. I consider a Cardinal my personal sign that no matter how much turmoil I'm facing, everything will work out fine.

i like blue jays better. but my favorite bird is the humming bird i just like all the colors

Where I live you dont have to wait for Spring to see either of those birds in fact we have a lot of both Cardinals and Blue Jays living around here year round....HOWEVER I would have to say that the male Cardinal (which is the brighter and prettier of the genders) is definately my fav. I think they are just gorgeous

I love both they are both such pretty birds. I can't remember is it the female cardinal that is the brighter one I know one is bright red and one is a duller red I think the female is the brighter one but can't remember for sure. My highschool mascot was a cardinal.
