Red WIne and Cancer

I've also heard that it can help prevent heart disease. They really aren't talking about drinking a lot, just a glass a day. Everything within reason, I guess.

I know red wine is good in thinning the blood but this other advantage is new to me. maybe you should try this out but in moderation. There is nothing to lose. if it came from the grapes, i suggest that the grapes are better eaten than drink the red wine.

I've heard that before! And don't know why I don't start drinking just a little bit day.. I also hear that "red clover tea" is real good for prevention and even curing(!) and I have some on hand, but do I drink it? Nope. Always reaching for the caffeine instead.. even though I used to mix it with a black tea bag.. If it's good for me, I just can't seem to do it!

I think so,some of my friends also tell me that red wine is good to body`s vessel .So I think it may right.

Yes I heard that too, but just one glass a day, some people would use this as an excuse to get drunk. My family drink wine all the time with their meals. My brother in law is from France.

I will have to look into that link. I happen to like red wine, so that sounds like a good excuse to splurge on a jug. I have also heard that it is good to take an ounce a day for the heart - and for general relaxation. I had a doctor recommend an ounce a day during lactation, I doubt they promote that any more... it would be rather taboo I suppose.

At one time my Dr. told me to drink wine to build my blood up now he tells me no lol

My mother was advised by her doctor to drink a glass of red wine before going to bed. Lately my wife join in too. Now they have more reasons to do so, and that includes me. Thanks Lakota for this one.

My mom told me this. One glass of red wine (not white) every night and it helps lower your blood pressure, reduces risk of heart disease and cancer.
