With the leaps and bounds that science seems to be making it wouldn’t surprise me if cloning humans isn’t too far down the road. If all it takes is a little DNA what’s stopping you from bringing back you great-great-great grandfather?
I’ve lost a few ppl and precious pets in my life and yet I’ve grieved for them, wait to be reunited but I’ve moved on. I wouldn’t want to start bringing them back. To me even if it looked, acted and seemed like the original one…it would still be a copy. I think it comes very close to playing God.
If you had the chance to bring back a loved one, to have them cloned, would you? Would you feel like they are a copy or accept them as the original? Would you want to bring back anyone famous? Do you think cloning ppl and/or pets is a good idea?

No I don;t think bringing people or animals back is a good idea. I believe in reincarnation so I still feel their presence after they have moved on from this being.
While the developments in science over the years has been great I think that it should have limitations and us humans should realise that nothing last forever. If we can't let the old slip away from us there will never be any room for the new

Two of me? You have got to be kidding! No way I'm allowing that to happen! The world suffers enough as it is! lol.
I think leaving the past in the past is the best, but if it can help to bring back extinct and critically endangered species of plants and animals that have been wipped out because of us humans, then go for it. I'd love to see a Tasmanian Tiger!

It is impossible to bring back that very same person, because if nothing more, their experiences would be different. Thereby forcing them to be a totally different person. If I could, the only person I would really want to bring back would be my mother. But she would not be my mother anymore because she would have to start out as a baby first. This human would not experience the things that made my mother the unique person that she was.

Good Point Twoey!..Never thought about it being a copy, but there are a few i'd like to have some closure with since i still feel guilty of not getting to say goodbye to them.

I probably wouldn't. I don't know anyone who would want that. At least not yet. Though it would be nice to have my grandmother back. I was very close to her. So I can see the temptation. But I just don't think it would be wise.
