I was at my cousin's while the crew did the 'clean-up'

Yesterday we all sat in the kitchen with Wanda while the crew 'cleaned' the room where Jason died. She didn't want to be alone. The smokers were out on the side porch. It was hard to hear them go up and down the stairs with the plastic shoe covers. It will cost $4500 for the job. They will clean the room... take up the carpet, take the bed apart and dispose of them...also all the drapes and bedding and everything else that has any blood or anything on it. After everything is over they will have a construction crew come and tear the walls and ceiling down and totally redo the room. I breathed a sigh when the truck with the materials pulled away! Thanks for listening. xxxxx

I wish so much that I could think of something to say to ease the pain. I'm so, so sorry. Bless you. xxxx

Hi raydene! It is such a good decision that you have let other do the clean up. It would be less painful if others would really do it for Wanda and your family. I hope somehow Wanda and family and you can move on slowly one day at a time. Take care and my prayers to you.

I can only imagine how hard all of that is for the family. I am happy though that Wanda has good family and friends to support her through a terrible time like this.

Hi Raydene, I know I said this in a previous discussion. I hope you read the response, I do understand about you not responding right now, don't worry about it. Just keeping pouring your heart out to us, we are here for you. Also be with Wanda and her family, she needs you right now. My question is, has anyone contacted the homeowners insurance company? This kind of clean up might be covered under the homeowners insurance. The clean up is expensive. I feel so sorry for Jason, that poor kid. What was going on in his mind to go this far. If he had only waited one more day or one more hour, things might have looked different for him. Obviously he wasn't thinking, I can't imagine anyone would put their parents thru something like this. I don't know how they will go on in that house, I don't think I could ever use that room again. I don't even think I would want to live in that house. But you can't just up and move whenever. My heart still breaks for your family.

Wow! That must have been absolutely awful to go through. I'm glad you were there so Jason's family wasn't alone. That must have been really really really hard on everyone. I'm glad for a place like MyLot, where you can express all of this.

It was a very costly exercise my friend, but just think how many negatives have been removed from the house already, not to mention when they completely redo the room. It's very difficult to just let go of everything... it will take time, but might I suggest that you encourage Wanda to "smudge" the whole house with sage, once everything is completed, and bring some bright flowers and positive energies into the house. It's a sign of new beginnings and leaving the negative thoughts behind, and I feel it could help. Naturally, it won't completely heal her, for a part of her is lost, but it should help her to cope some. As usual, your soul is giving unto others, when you, yourself are in need. I'll still be sending you all energies in the hope that you find comfort in one another. Brightest Blessings, love and light, to you all. xxxxx
