Do you dance to have fun? It may be good for your health too... |
|
I just was watching the news and noticed that people with Parkinson's Disease were being told to start dancing as when they dance they often have a break from their symptoms and feel "normal." The experts do not know whether this ability to move freely and to feel the feelings in the body that have not been felt for some time is due to the endorphins or happy chemicals that it causes or something else. Add this to the research that shows that those who take up dancing tend to exercise more and to enjoy doing it and thus tend to lose more weight and be happier doing it than those who take up other forms of exercise and it looks like dancing is a very healthy way to have fun. Do you dance to have fun? Has it improved your health in any way? Does it make you feel better?

whiteheron (912) | 5 months ago | I am glad that you are still dancing... I am sure that you are building wonderful memories for your granddaugher. I remember my mother singing this little song to me... She was born in 1919 and had me when she was 41 years old. She has been dead since 1990 and yet I can still remember her dancing with me and singing: "Dance with the dolly with the hole in the stocking, knees keep a knocking, toes keep a rocking. Dance with the dolly with the hole in the stocking. Dance by the light of the moon." I have no idea where she got this song from... I just remember it being sung by my mother and know that my older sister has used it to sing to my grand neices and nephews too. Enjoy the dancing...

3. Jakesnake1978 (1156) | 4 months ago | Yeah, dancing is always fun. It is also great for your health. It's great exercise. It is especially when I go to the club every other weekend now. It is without drinking alcohol as well as smoking. Well, I gotta dance, dance, and dance more. I even dance with hotties. I even get laid. I know that I am a party animal. Dancing makes me feel better.
